Sonja entered foster care at the tender age of thirteen and just aged out this summer. Even with the daily challenges of providing for herself- paying for rent, utilities, food, and more- she is positive, hopeful, and determined to build a meaningful future. Her dream is to open her own beauty shop where a wide range of services are offered at low cost to those in need. Sonja knows that the path to get there will take a lot of hard work, so she is planning to start small in her home, build a client base, sharpen her skills, and prepare for the blessing of opening her own shop one day.
