Robin's Dream #2

$365.00

Robin is dreaming of creating a comfortable and welcoming home as she moves into her first apartment. She needs essential household items, including a microwave, toaster, and dresser, to help make her new space functional and feel more like home. These everyday necessities will allow her to prepare meals, stay organized, and begin building a comfortable living environment of her own.

Robin spent many years in the foster care system before aging out at 21 and has been navigating independence from a young age. Her journey has included significant challenges, including times when she did not always feel safe in transitional housing. Despite these difficult experiences, Robin continues to work toward creating a more stable future for herself. As a full-time college student, she is pursuing a degree in psychology with the goal of becoming a school counselor.

Robin also gives back to her community by volunteering with younger foster youth, helping children navigate some of the challenges she understands firsthand. She hopes to leave a positive legacy by being a good person, supporting others, and making a difference in the lives of those around her. Her friends describe her as the mother of the group because she is always looking out for others and making sure everyone is okay.

Fulfilling this dream would help ease the financial burden of furnishing her first apartment and provide some of the basic comforts that make a house feel like home. With the support of our community, Robin can focus on her education, continue giving back to other foster youth, and build a stable foundation as she begins this exciting new chapter of independence.
