From foster care to a 4.0 GPA!

Damareus’ journey has been anything but easy. He was born into the foster care system and experienced homelessness after aging out, challenges that most of us can’t even imagine facing. When he started college, he was using an old computer that couldn’t keep up with his classes.

Thanks to Dream Makers like you, Damareus’ dream of earning a Psychology degree is one step closer to reality with a brand new laptop, giving him the urgent and essential tool he needs to succeed.

“My hope for the future is to better myself so that I can help those around me and build a foundation for those who come after me,” he shares. Now, he’s thriving in a full-time university program while working in a work-study position and still finding time to enjoy walks and binge-watching shows with friends.
