Camden

Meet Camden. Camden spent twelve years in foster care. Twelve years of uncertainty, change, and resilience. When he aged out, he found himself completely on his own. “I went from being in foster care to just being sent off,” he said. “I had to figure out everything on my own: housing, schooling, work…everything.”

But Camden had a dream.

Since he was a kid, he knew he wanted to be a barber: someone who not only gives great haircuts but restores confidence and community. When he imagined owning his own mobile barbershop, he saw more than a business. He saw a way to reach people, to give back to his hometown, and to be “the best dad in the world. I promised myself I was going to be the dad I never had and that’s my #1 priority always.”

Thanks to the generosity of multiple Dream Makers like you who came together to fulfill his need, Camden’s dream is now a reality!

He worked tirelessly to make it happen by juggling two jobs, saving every dollar, and putting in the hard work to build something lasting. And your support filled in the missing piece, giving him the trailer he needed to bring his vision to life.

Now, as Camden parks his mobile barbershop in neighborhoods across his community, he’s cutting hair, mentoring youth, and proving that determination paired with opportunity changes everything.

As we step into 2026, Camden’s story reminds us that dreams are not only possible—they’re powerful.
