Violeta entered the foster care system at 13 years old, after enduring significant trauma. Since aging out at 18, she has had a lot to navigate—learning to manage her finances, employment, education, health, and housing without a support system. The challenges have been many, but have not overwhelmed her passion build a meaningful life serving others.
Violeta recently graduated from college and is a peer support specialist for youth. She is also working towards other certifications that will enrich her career in education. Her career goal is to inspire children and provide them with the guidance she once needed. She is known for her caring, nurturing, and motivating presence, and she approaches each day with perseverance and a dedication to making a positive impact.
