Tashala’s Dream
Tashala is dreaming of Nursing School. Fulfilling this dream will equip her to start the first year of her RN program this fall with the supplies she needs.
Tashala is a remarkable young woman who has turned her trauma into a testimony of resilience. After experiencing the pain of abusive relationships in foster care and homelessness when she aged out, she determined to focus on her goals and not let the pain of her past define her future. She overcame homelessness, started working full-time in a senior living facility, graduated with her associate’s degree, and has been accepted to a competitive nursing program. She’s now looking ahead to becoming a registered nurse and caring for others out of the well of empathy formed in her through her challenges.
Tashala dreams of being a traveling nurse one day, taking specialized assignments around the country, and bringing her love with her wherever she goes. Providing this critical support at the beginning of her nursing program will alleviate stress and set her up to achieve her dreams.
