Quielle is dreaming of quality kitchen equipment. Fulfilling this dream will allow her to test recipes, make food in bulk, and realize her dream of starting a food brand centered around soul food.
Quielle spent five years in foster care. When she aged out, she didn’t have immediate family to turn to, and said that things were rough as she learned how to navigate her new independent status without support. Despite her challenges, she has big dreams to start her own food-based business and spread love through delicious soul food. She has a vision and now needs the necessary equipment to bring her dream to life. She shared, “I dream of selling the best soul food that money can buy. I’m going to be preparing oxtails, macaroni and cheese, cabbage, collard greens, cornbread, neck bones, stuffed salmon, white rice, bouton balls, catfish, fried shrimp, fried chicken, banana pudding, and peach cobbler.”
Quielle cooks in her free moments while she works full-time for a national organization whose mission is to prevent child abuse and neglect. Her ultimate dream is to bring her love of cooking and child advocacy together, creating a business where the underprivileged are served and given employment opportunities.
