Lexie’s Dream

$375.00

Lexie is dreaming of earning her Criminal Justice degree and needs professional clothing for work to help her continue building a stable future. As she balances her education and living expenses, the cost of appropriate work attire adds another financial challenge. Having professional clothing would ease some of that burden, help her feel confident in the workplace, and allow her to focus on her education and career goals.

Lexie grew up in foster care. At 19, she took the courageous step of moving into her own apartment and learning to navigate adulthood independently. During that important transition, Dream Makers provided basic household essentials that helped her create a comfortable home and begin building an independent life. That support made a lasting impact, reminding Lexie that there are people who believe in her and want to see her succeed.

Today, Lexie is pursuing her Criminal Justice degree, with plans to graduate in late 2027. Her experiences in foster care have shaped her passion for advocating for young people and improving the systems that serve children and families. She hopes to build a career in foster youth advocacy, child welfare, or investigations, potentially pursuing opportunities with the FBI. Lexie is determined to use both her education and personal experiences to support young people facing challenges similar to those she has overcome.

Fulfilling this dream would provide Lexie with practical support during an important season of her life, helping relieve some of the financial pressure of balancing school, work, and independent living. With appropriate professional clothing, she can feel more confident as she continues pursuing opportunities and working toward her degree. With the support of our community, Lexie can keep turning her experiences into purpose and move closer to her goal of advocating for vulnerable young people and making a lasting, positive difference in their lives.
