Michael-Angelo’s Dream
Michael-Angelo is dreaming of being an artist and needs supplies to continue creating, expanding his portfolio, and investing in the talent that has carried him through some of life's most difficult circumstances.
Michael-Angelo is a talented young artist who spent 11 years in foster care. Despite facing significant instability throughout his childhood and young adult life, he has remained committed to pursuing his passion for art and building a brighter future for himself.
After graduating high school, Michael-Angelo earned acceptance to college, a major accomplishment that reflected years of hard work and dedication. Michael-Angelo continues to work tirelessly toward his goals. This summer, he will serve as an overnight camp Art Director for a camp, combining his artistic talents with leadership and mentorship opportunities.
In his own words:
"Art means a lot to me because it's always been there. I didn't have a lot of consistency in my life growing up in foster care, but when I discovered my love for art, it was one thing I had control over. I could keep sketchbooks and take them to school and therapy. It was something that was truly mine and something I was creating for myself."
Today, art remains both a professional pursuit and a personal outlet. Your support would not simply provide materials—it would empower a resilient young artist to continue pursuing the passion that has helped him overcome adversity and create a future filled with possibility.
Cost of Dream: $255
