Mara is dreaming of a laptop for online classes. Fulfilling this dream will give her the access she needs to begin her degree in nursing.
Mara was placed in foster care when she was a young teenager, along with her five siblings. When she aged out, she took responsibility for her family and has been working hard to move beyond survival, to a life marked by stability and joy. Mara recently decided to pursue a career in nursing and has a couple of programs in mind that she’s interested in applying to. Mara was a standout in high school and won many awards for her academic achievements. She is eager to get back into a learning environment and pursue her goals in the medical field. With a personal computer, she will not only be able to apply to the programs she likes, but will also have the device she needs to engage in her online courses. Mara dreams of a flourishing career where her big heart and her intelligence come together to make a difference in the lives of others.
