Lily’s Dream
Lily is dreaming of a laptop for school. Fulfilling this dream will provide the technology she needs to complete her GED program online and move forward with her goal to go to cosmetology school.
Lily was placed in foster care as a young teenager and aged out of the system at eighteen with no support. The challenges of her independent status were many as she struggled to find stable housing and adequate resources for life on her own. Inspite of the trials, Lily has set her heart on a hopeful future, and is not only developing her personal passion for cosmetology, but is giving back to the community. She currently interns at a sober living facility, offering counseling and care to the participants. Lily’s dream is to finish her GED and go to cosmetology school. She has a specific interest in organic skincare and hopes to one day become an esthetician who makes others feel worthy and beautiful.
