Lauren was placed in foster care as a teenager and aged out with no family ties or support. Without a safety net or adults she could count on, she faced homelessness and had to work three jobs just to survive. Through hard work and determination, she put herself through barbering school, got her license, and landed a secure job cutting hair. Currently, she is focused on growing her clientele, developing her brand, and working toward opening her own salon suite while paying off school loans. Friends describe her as ambitious, caring, and determined — someone who sets goals and follows through.
