Kayzia’s Dream
Kayzia is dreaming of art supplies. Fulfilling this dream will put the needed tools in her hands to get her art-based small business started.
Kayzia was in and out of the foster care system from the time she was two years old. A childhood of instability created a shaky foundation to launch from, and it has been difficult for her to find her footing as an adult. In her first year of independence, Kayzia has weathered some setbacks but has chosen not to give up. She is in school full-time and dreams of becoming a travel nurse or a doula. In the meantime, in addition to her studies, she’s passionate about engaging in art as a way to pursue mental health and create financial stability through college. She’s created the prototypes for several items she’d like to make and sell but needs the supplies to get her dream off the ground.
When we support youth like Kayzia, we have the opportunity to be the community they never had, demonstrating through loving action, that none of us are meant to do life alone. Let’s help her bring her small business dream to life!
