Jazz's Dream #2
Jazz is applying for a desktop PC and monitor to support her Master’s studies. Fulfilling this dream will support her academic work and long-term career in nonprofit leadership.
Jazz entered foster care as a young middle schooler and aged out at 18 with no family or support system. She has navigated housing instability and financial challenges while working to build long-term direction and independence. These experiences have shaped her commitment to systems change and her drive to create meaningful support for vulnerable youth.
Jazz currently works full-time as a Youth Contract Manager and Youth Action Board Liaison, where she supports youth-focused programming and ensures lived experience is included in decision-making. She also contributes to national policy efforts addressing youth homelessness. Alongside this work, she is preparing to pursue graduate studies in nonprofit management and public affairs.
A dedicated desktop setup would allow her to more effectively complete coursework, conduct research, manage data analysis, and engage in grant writing and advocacy work. It would also strengthen her ability to stay organized and continue building the leadership skills needed for her future nonprofit work.
Cost of Dream: $365
