Dream Share is an opportunity for the community to come together to support youth!
Lucan is dreaming of growing his catering business and eventually launching his own food truck, and he needs household essentials to help furnish his new apartment as he has recently moved across multiple states. A few of his most important needs include a desktop computer, desk, and desk chair. These items would provide him with a dedicated workspace to manage his business, create promotional content, connect with potential customers, and handle the administrative tasks involved in growing his catering company. As a previous Dream Makers recipient, Lucan received catering equipment in August 2025 to support his thriving catering business. Now, as he begins a new chapter in his life, additional support would help him create a comfortable, stable home while continuing to pursue his entrepreneurial dreams.
Lucan entered foster care as an infant and aged out at 18. Since then, he has navigated adulthood independently, facing challenges with housing stability, financial independence, and building a future without a consistent support system. Despite experiencing significant hardships, including homelessness and personal loss, Lucan has continued to persevere and turn his experiences into motivation to create a better future for himself and others.
Today, Lucan works part-time as a Peer Specialist while continuing to grow his catering business and develop his culinary skills. He is participating in Food Truck University, where he is learning how to turn his vision for his food truck into reality. Beyond his business goals, Lucan is passionate about advocating for former foster youth and inspiring others through his story. His determination, creativity, and commitment to helping others reflect the resilience he has built throughout his journey.
Fulfilling this dream would help Lucan establish a welcoming home and a functional workspace where he can find stability while investing in his future. A desktop computer, desk, and other household essentials would support both his personal and professional goals, allowing him to continue developing his business while building a strong foundation for his next chapter. With the support of our community, Lucan can continue growing his culinary career, pursuing his food truck dream, and showing other young people that their past does not define their potential.
