James’ Dream
Dream Share is an opportunity for the community to come together to support youth!
James is dreaming of becoming an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) and is preparing to begin his EMT program in October. To get started, he needs books, class fees, school supplies, uniforms, boots, a stethoscope, an EMT first aid kit, gas cards, and other essential resources. These items will help ensure he is prepared for his coursework and hands-on training as he takes the first steps toward a career focused on helping people in their most vulnerable moments.
James’s motivation for becoming an EMT comes from his desire to be an active and positive part of his community. He wants to make a difference in the lives of people who may feel that there is no help available to them.
After spending eight years in foster care, James has worked hard to establish himself independently. Today, he works full time as a Corrections Officer. Building a career in emergency medical services would allow him to expand his ability to serve others while continuing to grow professionally and contribute to his community.
James describes himself as easygoing, dedicated, funny, reliable, and trustworthy. He is especially proud of creating a stable life for himself, including securing a solid career and having a place to call home. Supporting James as he begins his EMT program would provide the essential tools and resources he needs to enter training prepared and confident. His goal is not simply to earn a certification—it is to become someone his community can depend on when people need help the most.
