Christia is dreaming of bedroom furniture. Fulfilling this dream will make it possible for her to set up her room and create a space where she can find rest.
Christia grew up in and out of foster care, and officially aged out when she turned eighteen. Since that time, she has been working hard to establish a stable life-one where she feels safe, secure, and free to make wise choices. She is studying to get her GED and has dreams of going to cosmetology school to become a stylist. Christia currently works at an adult day care center, offering support and care to the elderly, and is proud to be moving into her first apartment!
A first apartment is a significant accomplishment for anyone, but for an aged-out foster youth, it’s especially important. For Christia, this is a new beginning and a chance to establish her life in safety and independence. With our support her new place will feel a little more like home.
