Avante is dreaming of down payment assistance to help him purchase a reliable car and regain consistent transportation to school and work. Fulfilling this dream will allow him to purchase a car he’s been saving for and reduce the financial strain of relying on public transit and ride shares.
Avante spent the majority of his life in foster care, entering the system at age five. Over the past year, he has been fully on his own, navigating adulthood without a support system to fall back on. Since aging out, he has faced significant instability, including the loss of his vehicle, housing challenges, and the ongoing difficulty of accessing resources while trying to move forward on his own.
Avante is currently working hard to complete his pharmacy technician externship while taking on side work as a caregiver to save toward a vehicle. He is deeply motivated by the impact pharmacy work has on patients’ lives and is working toward a future in hospital-based pharmacy, where he hopes to contribute behind the scenes in critical care settings. Avante is an outgoing, thoughtful, and resilient young man who approaches life with persistence and a problem-solving mindset, even in the face of repeated setbacks.
Avante is on his way towards a meaningful career, and with the support of our community, he will be able to secure the transportation he needs to complete his training and continue building a stable, purpose-driven future in healthcare.
