Artashia is dreaming of becoming a photographer and is in need of camera equipment to help her continue developing her skills and pursue opportunities in a field she has grown to love. Artashia entered foster care at age 13 and experienced several transitions before eventually moving on to college before turning 18. Despite the challenges and uncertainty she faced growing up, she has remained focused on building a positive future for herself.
Last summer, while working at camp, Artashia had the opportunity to assist the photography team. What began as a new experience quickly became a passion. Today, Artashia is working toward becoming a full-time member of the photography team and hopes to continue growing her skills and experience in the field. While she already has a camera, additional equipment would allow her to take her photography to the next level and pursue new opportunities with confidence.
