Amber is an 18-year-old young woman who is dreaming of becoming an art therapist and needs crochet and art supplies to support her creative education, crochet business, and future career goals. As she begins college and takes her first steps toward independence after aging out of foster care, Amber is determined to turn her passion for creativity and helping others into a meaningful career.

Amber has been in foster care for the past two years and is now learning to navigate adulthood on her own. She is currently participating in a Youth in Transition program while working part-time and starting college.

Creativity has always been an important part of Amber's life. She enjoys crocheting, drawing, painting, crafting, baking, and other hands-on creative activities. She has even taken something she loves—crochet—and turned it into her own small business. Receiving art and crochet supplies would allow Amber to continue developing her skills, create products for her business, and explore creative activities that she hopes to one day incorporate into her work with others.

Amber's career goal is to become an art therapist because wants to help people. She believes creativity can be a powerful way to connect with others and provide encouragement, expression, and support. Her passion for helping others is reflected in the way she describes herself: hardworking, empathetic, organized, friendly, and reliable.

Despite the challenges she has experienced, Amber continues to focus on the possibilities ahead. She is proud of finding the courage to speak up about her circumstances and seek the help she needed, as well as having the confidence to turn her passion for crochet into a business that brings happiness to others.
