Alex's Dream
Alex has an urgent need for gas cards. Fulfilling this need will ensure that her tank is full and that she can continue making consistent money as an Uber driver.
When Alex was a young teen, she was placed in foster care. Addiction had compromised her home and it was no longer a safe place for her to be. She lived in foster care for five years and aged-out at eighteen, experiencing the challenges of independent living without the consistent support and guidance of family. She struggled to make ends meet while working to find a job, stable housing, and healthcare. Alex also had to navigate the profound impact of childhood trauma on her mental and emotional well being, searching for ways to pursue healing while also fighting for her daily needs. The road has been anything but easy, but Alex still dreams of a happy, healthy life and the chance to have her own family someday.
She also dreams of making a difference in the lives of others, and is currently in school to become a substance abuse counselor. Driven by a desire to come alonside others, she shared, “I want to work with people in recovery centers, shelters, or community programs where I can help others believe in themselves again and rebuild their lives. This goal isn’t just a job for me—it’s a purpose. It’s how I turn everything I’ve been through into something meaningful.”
With fuel in her car and passion in her heart, Alex is on her way to achieving the goals she has for herself. Let’s keep her on the road!
