Alejandra is dreaming of a digital camera to help her grow her work as a storyteller and advocate for former foster youth. Fulfilling this dream will give her the ability to produce videos, documentaries, and creative storytelling pieces that expand her reach, amplify marginalized voices, and strengthen her impact as a content creator and advocate.
Alejandra entered foster care when she was six years old. Aging out of care meant learning to build stability without a safety net—managing housing, finances, and life skills while facing barriers that make independence especially challenging for former foster youth. Rather than allowing those challenges to limit her, Alejandra has transformed her lived experience into a source of purpose and motivation.
Currently, Alejandra works as a freelance content creator while continuing her education and participating in advocacy-focused fellowships centered on mental health, youth empowerment, and community investment. She is deeply passionate about using storytelling as a tool for education and systemic change, blending creativity with policy awareness to ensure young people feel seen, heard, and supported. Compassionate, driven, and resilient, Alejandra is known for her ability to listen deeply and inspire others through authenticity.
With the support of our community, Alejandra will have the tools she needs to elevate her storytelling, strengthen her advocacy work, and continue building a future dedicated to amplifying voices that are too often overlooked.
