Dream Share is an opportunity for the community to come together to support youth!
Michael is dreaming of all-season tires and a headlight replacement for his car. Fulfilling this dream will prepare Michael’s car for the winter months and will allow him to get to and from work safely.
Michael is a man on a mission. The challenges of his past, in the hands of a loving God, have shaped him into a sharpened arrow, flying with purpose and resolve. He longs to build a stable life, rooted in faith and overflowing in leadership, service, and advocacy. His eleven years in foster care and the trials he faced throughout give him a unique voice from which to speak to other youth who are aging out and facing independence alone. He hosts a podcast where he amplifies the voices of former foster youth, is an author whose devotional Resilient Faith, we’ve given to many of the youth we serve, is the chair of his state’s juvenile justice advocacy group, and has served for the last year as our Dream Makers’ intern. After being laid off from his job in May, he is rebuilding with new employment and hopes to create the kind of financial consistency that will allow him to meet his needs and save for the future. His ultimate goal is to become a lawyer who advocates for system reform in Washington, D.C.
Michael is a whole-hearted leader and a man who is willing to put it all on the line to help others. Through our timely support, we will remove obstacles and give lift to the dreams of a change maker!
