Tikora

For ten years, Tikora moved through the foster care system. When she aged out, adulthood came fast. Bills. Budgeting. Responsibilities. She says managing finances has been her biggest struggle since being on her own.

But even with all of that, Tikora hasn’t given up on herself.

She’s working part time at a fast food restaurant to make ends meet while studying for her GED through remote classes.

The challenge? She didn’t have consistent access to a device. She had to borrow an iPad from the school, but the available times were limited. That meant squeezing in coursework around work shifts and whatever time slots were open.

Because of your support, Tikora’s dream was fulfilled. She received her very own iPad!

Now she can log into class whenever she needs to, study on her own schedule, and keep moving toward her GED without the stress of limited access.

In her own words: “Thank you very much! The iPad has helped me tremendously and I am very grateful for it!”

Sometimes the difference between stuck and succeeding is one practical tool. One reminder that someone believes in you.
