Sophia
Sophia’s dream was fulfilled and it meant more than just receiving a guitar.
After aging out of foster care, she has been navigating adulthood while recovering from trauma she endured both in and out of the system. Healing has not been simple. It has been intentional. Brave. Ongoing.
When she applied for her dream, she said, “I hope that through music I can create a healthy bond with myself and cope in a healthy, happy way.” Now she can.
Because of a Dream Maker, Sophia received a new guitar and accessories of her own. Something steady. Something safe. Instead of carrying everything internally, she has an outlet and a way to turn overwhelming emotions into lyrics.
The impact is deeper than the instrument itself. Now that her dream has been fulfilled, she has a tangible reminder that her story is still being written and it can sound different than her past.
This is what impact looks like. Not just a guitar, but healing in motion!
