Michael

When Michael first dreamed of luggage to study abroad, our community showed up. That luggage became more than just a way to travel, it was a symbol that he wasn’t alone, that people believed in his future.

Months later, Michael had another dream: a laptop for his doctoral program. And once again, you made it happen.

Michael’s journey hasn’t been easy. After aging out of foster care, he faced housing insecurity, financial instability, and the challenge of finding solid ground without a foundation to stand on. But his drive for something better and his heart for change carried him forward.

Today, he’s pursuing his PhD in Public Policy and Administration, running his own grant writing and consulting business, and working toward his dream of becoming a nonprofit Executive Director to create lasting change in the foster care system.

Michael’s story reminds us that when we keep showing up, when we walk with our youth, not just for a moment but through every chapter…we don’t just help fulfill dreams. We help transform lives!
