Summer
Summer’s dream of having her own bedroom set was fulfilled, giving her a comfortable mattress, sturdy frame, and soft sheets to call her own.
Summer spent three years in the foster care system before aging out on her own at 18. Her biggest challenge during that time was navigating mental health struggles. Today, she uses her experiences to help others as a peer mentor for foster youth. She is also pursuing a degree in social work at a university, determined to make a difference in the lives of others.
Words from Summer: “I care deeply for others and what they go through, even if I don’t know them personally. I want people to feel safe expressing themselves with me, knowing I will listen with an open heart.”
Providing a bed means more than just a place to sleep — it gives someone comfort, stability, and the foundation to rest, recharge, and rebuild their life. Thank you for making this a reality for Summer!
