Shatera
Shatera is a poet with a tender heart and a quiet resilience that runs deep. After entering foster care at 14 and weathering storms of financial struggle, she’s now a full-time substitute teacher and a university junior chasing a degree in English, with dreams of one day shaping stories in the world of publishing.
Her dream was simple, yet powerful: exercise equipment like weights, a mat, and clothing. With this gift fulfilled, she’s now able to nurture a life of wellness that’s sustainable, strong, and rooted in self-love.
In her own words, “I may seem like a strong person, but deep down I wish people would understand the feelings that I hide.”
Her poetry has earned awards, but it’s her unseen strength that inspires most!
