Romario

Romario entered foster care at just six years old and aged out at eighteen without family support, guidance, or a roadmap for what came next.

Suddenly, he was responsible for everything on his own. Housing. College applications. Financial aid. Mental health. Adulthood came fast, and without a safety net.

But Romario refused to let hardship define him.

Today, he is earning his Master’s in Education while teaching students in communities that are often overlooked and undervalued. And one day, he hopes to become a civil rights attorney advocating for former foster youth and helping create change for future generations.

Through Dream Makers, Romario received tuition assistance that lifted a major financial burden and gave him the freedom to fully focus on his students, his education, and the future he is building.

“Fulfilling a dream truly provides us with a fighting chance,”
he shared. “It shows us that we are seen. Sometimes, that push is just what we need. No dream is too small to support. Every bit helps.”

Because of dream makers like you, Romario is not walking this journey alone.
