Antawn

Sometimes moving forward really comes down to one thing…how you’re going to get there.

For Antawn, transportation wasn’t just an inconvenience. It was the barrier standing between him and everything he’s been working toward.

He entered foster care at twelve, leaving behind a situation he describes as “horrible.” While he later experienced the support of a caring foster family, aging out meant stepping into adulthood without a safety net.

Since then, he’s been doing everything he can to build stability finding steady work, securing housing, and saving for school.

But getting to work, getting to opportunities, even getting through the day wasn’t easy. He pushed his regular bike as far as it could go. And then some.

Still, it wasn’t enough.

When someone chose to fulfill his dream, it changed what was possible. An electric bike gave Antawn a reliable way to get where he needs to go, opening the door for consistency, income, and momentum.

His response says it all:
“I love you. You are my true hero. Thank you very much!”

Antawn is determined to keep going. He’s working toward a future in security and dreams of owning a home one day. And now, he has a way to keep showing up for that future every single day.

This is what it looks like when a barrier is removed.
Progress becomes possible again.
