Our mission at Dream Makers is to transform the lives of former foster youth by connecting the community with their needs. We are honored to play our part, but the many needs of youth aging out of the foster care system cannot be met by one organization. That’s why we’re passionate about connecting with non-profits, both locally and nationally, to see this underserved population thrive as they’re holistically supported.

  • Collegiate Crossings
    Making postsecondary education a reality for low-income, first-generation, and underserved students by providing personalized college planning services.

    Foster Ed Program
    Contributing to the total cost of attendance for qualifying students who attend public institutions of higher education within Colorado. This state-funded program pays for the remaining balance of the total cost of attendance after scholarships, grants, and other financial aid awards have been applied.     Guardian Scholar Program
    Providing financial assistance of up to $3000/per scholar/per semester to cover unmet financial need while pursuing a postsecondary education. Scholars also utilize 1:1 mentoring, and resource navigation, and wrap-around supports, as needed. https://forwardsteps.org/become-a-scholar/

  • The Matthews House is dedicated to breaking the cycles of poverty, abuse, and neglect by providing essential support and resources to youth and families in Northern Colorado.

    ALL IN Empowering Futures is dedicated to building and mobilizing a community to support all foster alumni on an actionable path to success. They aim to help those who have been in foster care access opportunities such as food, shelter, education, and employment, and to amplify their voices to improve the foster care system.

    The John H. Chafee Foster Care Program for Successful Transition to Adulthood offers financial support for education and training, life skills development, and housing assistance. Eligible youth can access Education and Training Vouchers (ETVs) of up to $5,000 per year for postsecondary education.
